Hi Mary, I have no idea where you are, but hope it's back home in Paris. I just wanted to thank you again for all of your help in preparing for the Great Songs concert. We all watched a video of it at our Studio meeting last week - what fun! The whole concert looked and sounded good. I hear from Beebe and Henry that the Orvis people are very pleased!

I just wanted to thank you for your help during the preparation of the "Great Singers" concert. It is such a pleasure to work with you and I really appreciate your frank, honest coaching style. I hope you enjoyed your time in Hawaii as much as we enjoyed working with you. Also, the recital was great . I particularly enjoyed the Debussy set and the Poulenc encore. I look forward to working with you again this winter.

You probably heard that what we had worked so hard for in our coachings actually came true and I got to sing the silver cast Composer in Seattle. First and foremost I want to say to you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the work you did with me on Ariadne in Seattle. It truly made all the difference. Your dedication, willingness to work on it so in depth and for extra time was such a blessing. I was ready to sing that role in large part due to you. The first night I got to sing the role with all the other principals in rehearsal will probably be one of my fondest memories for all of time. Working with you over the last two years has been a huge turning point for me personally, my singing and my career. . . I could not have had the debut experience of this spring without you. I hope you will be there in Seattle again next year because I have so many things I would love to work with you on, and ideas to run by you. Thank you again, and enjoy the rest of your summer!!

I thought you might like to know how you helped me and to say thank you."

I recommend that young artists visit Laura Claycomb’s web site. She has put together very detailed and helpful information for singers who are starting their careers.
